Book Rockstar VIP Experience

Book Rockstar VIP Experience

If you're looking for a 1:1 deep dive to set your book marketing up for success, join Aryn for an all-inclusive VIP Experience. The VIP Experience gives you personal and customized guidance to get the right marketing strategies into place for your book.

The VIP Experience could be for you if:

  • You've written a nonfiction or fiction book and need help defining what your marketing strategy should look like

  • You want to self-publish your book and need help getting all the pieces put into the right place

  • You want to do everything you can to promote your book but don't have the time, desire, or skills to research and put together a marketing plan on your own

  • You released your book without any marketing or strategy and want to give it a second chance

So, what is Book Rockstar VIP Experience and what does it include?

With this 8-week program, I'll work 1:1 with you to create a crystal-clear marketing plan for your book that you can implement with confidence, making you feel like a VIP. â€‹

Each week you and I will have a 60-minute Zoom call where we will dive into the marketing strategies you need to make your book a success. Following our call, I will send you a folder with resources and materials related to our session.

Here's the weekly breakdown:

Week 1: Messaging

We kick off the program with messaging! Getting clarity on your book's message and how it relates to your target audience is a crucial first step in the marketing process. We'll spend some time talking about what makes messaging so important, reviewing examples of authors using their own messaging effectively, and then we'll go through my messaging exercise for your book.

In this exercise, I will ask you questions to help us create a clear profile of your ideal reader. This exercise will guide us in choosing the most effective language to use in our marketing content so we are connecting with your target readers in a meaningful way.

Tools and resources you'll build/receive:

  • Messaging Exercise

  • Target Reader Profile

Week 2: Social Media

Social media is a great discovery tool, and provides one of the best platforms for authors to promote their books. In this session we will explore the best practices of the social platform(s) most relevant for you/your book, make sure your profile is optimized, and begin filling out a content matrix using the messaging exercise as a guide.

  • Content Planning Exercise

  • Social Media Content Calendar

  • Custom Promotional Graphics for Social Media

  • Instagram Reels Guide + How-to Tutorial Videos

  • Canva Video Editing Tutorial Video

  • How to Create 3D Book Graphics Tutorial Video

Week 3: Email

While social media is a great tool for attracting readers, email is the best tool for sealing the deal and getting the sale. In this session we will talk through best practices for growing your email list with a lead magnet, develop relevant email newsletter topics for your book/author brand using the messaging exercise as a guide, and then get started on building an email automation series to keep your new subscribers engaged.

We will incorporate our work from Week 2 and Week 3 into the plan, and then look forward to see how the coming weeks will fill in the gaps.

I build this session into the middle of the program to provide better clarity for the weeks ahead, and also to give you an extra week to focus on finishing the work we started in the first few weeks.

Tools and resources you'll build/receive:

  • Customized Marketing Plan + Timeline

  • Book Launch Marketing Checklist

  • Document with Helpful Links to External Resources and Relevant Examples

Week 5: Advertising

While I try to place most emphasis on organic strategies, paid advertising can be an effective strategy for reaching readers outside of your bubble. In this session we will explore relevant advertising avenues for you/your book, talk through best practices for these ad platforms, explore potential targeting options, and perform audits of any past advertising campaigns.

My expertise is within the realm of marketing, but over the years I've learned a lot about traditional media and how authors can position themselves for pitching interviews. When relevant, I will include best practices for pitching yourself to podcasts.

Week 7: Metadata

Metadata is the unseen hero of marketing. In this session we will explore best practices for title, subtitle, retailer descriptions, keywords, categories/BISACs, and Amazon A+ content. We'll spend some time looking at keyword and category data relevant to your book, and discuss how to make the best and most optimized selections.

Some important notes for this week: If you are working with a traditional or hybrid publisher, they will have control (and sometimes final say) over your metadata. However, most publishers are willing to work with authors to make sure the book listing is the best it can be. Some of the specific-to-Amazon metadata features we discuss are only available to publishers who have a Vendor Account with Amazon (almost all have this) OR self-published authors who are distributing their book via Amazon KDP.

Tools and resources you'll build/receive:

  • Book Description Formula for Optimal Conversion

  • Custom Keyword Data + Best 7 Keywords Choices for KDP/IngramSpark

  • Custom Amazon Category Data + Best 3 Category Choices for KDP

  • Category Best Practices Guide

  • Amazon KDP Video Tutorial

  • Amazon Author Central Video Tutorial

  • Amazon A+ Video Tutorial

  • Custom Amazon A+ Content + Graphics

  • Publisher Rocket Video Tutorial

Week 8: Maintaining Momentum for the Long-Term

In this session we will go over strategies for sustained promotion beyond the initial launch/promotion period of your book. Remember, your book will be available for years to come, so we will use our time this week to explore how you can keep your book in conversation and sales consistent. Plus, if you plan to write additional books we'll talk about benefits of and ideas for cross promotion.

Tools and resources you'll build/receive:

  • Finalized Marketing Plan and Long-Term Timeline

Q: Why does this program cost this much?

A: The VIP Experience provides you with expert marketing strategy and publishing insights, customized data and content, a library of promotional graphics, time-saving resources, dedicated 1:1 support, and a marketing toolbox that can be used for years to come to promote your book. With this program, I serve you a custom marketing strategy on a silver platter, walk you step-by-step through relevant marketing and publishing platforms, and ensure you have all keys you need to unlock your book's potential!

Q: How much time do I need to dedicate to this program?

However, there will be some sessions where we will have time to start setting up ad campaigns, start building email automation, etc. together in real-time via screen share.

I want to make it as easy as I can for you to confidently move forward on your own without wasting your time doing lots of research (that's something I do for you!).

I also have trusted marketing agencies I can point you towards once we've created our marketing strategy.

Q: What if I work at a publisher and I want this package for my authors?

A: I'd love to chat! I've worked with several publishers using this type of program. Having worked in-house at a publisher I'm the first to understand that sometimes the plate gets too full! Let's talk about how we can get your authors the support they need. Click here to book a free discovery call.

Q: I'm in a time crunch...is there anything shorter than 8 weeks?

A: The short answer is yes. The 8-week program gives you time to digest all of the information, and also gives you time to start creating content and implementing little by little. But if desired, you can consolidate it into 2 intensive workshop days (4 hours each day). Just note that the cost of this version of the VIP Experience is $3,400. If this sounds like something you'd be interested in, let me know in the discovery call.

Q: This package is way more than I need. Do you offer single consultations?

A: Totally get it! This package is a big time and financial investment. If you're looking for a laser-focused session on a specific topic, or want help auditing your current strategy, you can book a single-session consultation by clicking here.
